The entire town came, after just one day!

The entire town. No advertising, no fancy buildings, no marketing, no entertainment, no membership drives, not even so much as an invite! Yet the entire town came in one day.

Why? Because Jesus spoke in authority, walked in power and touched people where they needed it most. He met their needs, not their wants. That’s the mission of the church… To meet needs by walking in power.

Nothing else is necessary if there is power to meet needs, and that power is exercised through a pure heart focused solely on meeting needs with nothing in return. How often have we focused on “building a church” in order to meet needs instead of just meeting those needs first. If our heart is truly for God’s people, we will do whatever we can, now, today, with whatever resources God has already granted us.

The entire city came to see Jesus, and if we just shine Jesus through our life, they will come again.
